The English Forum · Grade 1 · 16 Sessions
Your child doesn't need to speak in long sentences yet. Starting from one sentence while looking at a picture — "I see a ___." — by Session 16 they'll connect what they like with why.
50 min · Weekly · Grade 1 class · Up to 6 students · Starts at 4
Common at This Age
They show what they want with gestures instead of words. It's not that they don't know the word — they just haven't practiced turning it into a sentence.
"Dog." "Happy." They can say the word, but can't string it into a sentence.
Afraid of getting it wrong, so they often just stay quiet instead of speaking.
Every week starts with an easy picture and a sentence frame. It's not about memorizing the right answer — it's practice filling the same frame with their own story.
How They Change Over 16 Sessions
These are the course's goals. They don't guarantee the same pace or results for every child.
Grade 1 Goals
These goals are the course's design standard. Actual pace depends on starting point and participation. This leads naturally into The English Forum (Grade 2).

Sentence Frame Preview
"I like ___ because ___." Two pieces, connected. In the Session 16 presentation, your child completes their own story with this frame.
New Words, Every Week
It's not just the sentence frame they memorize — 15 new words to fill it with are added every week.
The picture workbook comes with word cards. Before class, your child matches the picture and words first — then uses them in the sentence frame during class.
